Hahaha.

I never thought an old guy friend would be religiously checking my blog while he was abroad.

We met with him last Sunday, he told me he regularly checks my blog. Nagulat kami kasi alam nya lahat! As in yung mga entries ko on “incovenient Truth” and “North Korea” alam nya. Dun nya lang daw yun nalaman…

I asked him “How about the wedding website, nakita mo ba?” sabi nya “OO, mula About Us hanggang guestbook” natawa kami ni Glenn.

Pati yung mga blog ng friends ko, alam din nya. Sabi nya “Yung myls mahilig sa kape” Hehehe

Malungkot daw sya magtrabaho abroad, friendster and blogs keep him sane.

Glenn and I usually make nicknames to the cars we use. Their CRV's plate number starts with X, we named it XMAN (singular na X-Men, meron ba nun?, hehehe)

For the Civic, since we know its going to start with Z, we call it Zorro.

Its Glenn's first time to try Zorro, no sweat sa kanya, its similar to what he drives.

Did I mention before na niloloko ng tropa si Glenn dahil ang kotse nila ay meron VIPER miski wala...ako pala yung tinutukoy nila. Matindi raw akong backseat driver.

Imaginin nyo nalang kung gaano kasesensitive ang "VIPER" ngayon. Ang hirap pala magdala ng kotse na wala pang plate number.

We went to SM Bacoor, gusto ko na agad umuwi para maiuwi na namin ang kotse at baka kung ano pa ang mangyari dun habang nasa responsibility namin. Waah! praning....



After SM, we went to Island cove and reminisce our wedding preparation days. During this time of the year last year, parati kasi kami nasa Island cove doing some stuff for the wedding. We missed those days.

FiSh BaLLs

I love Fish balls.

Aminin ninyo girls, its too dyahe to "tusok-tusok" the fishballs na ang kasabay mo puro lalake. Paglabas ng gate ng Epza, meron dun fishball-an, ay naku, wa na ako care kung ako lang ang girl dun. OFCOURSE, I heard of the horrible stories of the sauce+possible hepatitis. MASARAP KASI TALGA.

Last weekend, i bought frozen fishball at the grocery and fishball sauce.
Sabi ni Josen, I have to fry it in a low fire, ginawa ko. PERO ITS NOT THE SAME! The sauce isnt good din.

Could somebody share the street vendors fishball sauce and the brand of fishball.
Sige na!

A hIsTORy iN tHE mAkINg...Bear with me, this is a long entry. But this a history in the making, kaya tapusin nyo basahin ha.

Did you notice how men are soo into cars?My dad has always wanted a brand new car, sabagay, lahat naman ng tao gusto yun-kaya lang mahal.

During the 90’s, my dad had his own “wheels”, owner-type jeep na second-hand.Ay grabe, sobrang feeling rich na kami, hindi kami makapaniwala na we have our own vehicle.Naging baby ng dadi ko yun.

Then 2002, we bought a 2nd hand Toyota corolla. He still couldn’t let go of the jeep.Sobrang rich na talga namin, diba. We had 2 vehicles.Then Ate patty got a 2nd hand mitsubishi lancer. Grabe, full parking na ang garahe namin. Hahaha.

I know how “INGGIT” my dad is whenever his friends get a brand new car. He always thinks about getting the “pinaglumaan” of his friends. Na wala naman na natuloy, kasi panay more than 300K ang mga price.

I would always tell him to sell a piece of the land and buy a brand new car, para maenjoy nya ang inheritance nya.Pero sasabihan lang ako nun na --- “Wag mo nga akong kwanin!”

Recently, my mom mentioned to me na his officemate got a new sportivo, and syempre “tulo-laway” to the max na naman si dadi.

I requested brochure and pricelist from Josen. Wala lang, para maisip nya na kaya naman nya bumili if gusto nya. Madali namang magloan sa kanila.

I would text him ”dadi, ano bili ka ba ng car” -- no reply
After a few days “dadi, papakuha ako ng brochure ng honda” – no reply.

Then I got the brochure, No reaction parin“dadi, andun na yung brochure” no reply parin.

Price of Honda CRV is more than a million—--ooops, we cant afford that. Oh well, not a honda I guess if he wants greater than 5-seater vehicle.

After a week ata, I received a text from my dad.

“Magkano 1.8L Honda civic?”

I was like…CIVIC? Kotse?...Oki, mahal ang suv, pero bakit civic, bat hindi nalang city or jazz?

So I replied how much, nahihiya ako ipakita kay Glenn na sobrang naeexcite ako kasi maeexcite din yun, eh baka nagloloko lang si dadi.

Then I ask “What color ang gusto ninyo?”

Sabi nya “kulay tae ni patrice”

Ang momentum ko pa naman ay sobrang ibang level na.

NYEK! Nagjojoke nga to.Kakainis!

The only way I could know if he is serious is ask my mom. So I got my fone to text her, she had a message pala.

It says “tawag ka dito sa landline, andito si papa”

Meaning to say, she is aware the issue and this must not be a joke!

Seryoso?! Susme, hihimatayin ata ako.

So totoo nga, he’s thinking of buying a car. Grabe na ito.Nakakastress syang bumili.

Kasi ayaw nya makipagmeet sa agents, parang nahihiya magcommit or maginquire-inquire tapos baka hindi naman daw bibili.

I told him na its their job to provide info, wag mahiya. Para din makapagcompare.

Ay naku, ayaw talga. As in pinilit ko pa sya na magtest drive man lang.
San naman kayo nakakita ng bibili ng kotse na hindi man lang nagpunta sa kahit na anong showroom!
Nakakastress pala pumili ng kulay ng kotse, lalo na kung iba-iba kami ng gusto… Silver or Bluish silver?

And the winner is….

Grabe, naiiyak ako sa tuwa. Im so happy that finally he did something for himself.
He wanted this for so long, pero hindi nya ginawa kasi kami yung iniisip nya.Im so proud of him.Sobrang saya ko talga (ofcourse because of the car din) pero mas lalo dahil dadi is happy.
Its manual transmission and there is no way again I could drive a car. Urgh!

Ang bilis ng panahon. Parang kailan lang kami excited to know if ate patty's baby is a girl or a boy.. ngayon..mag one year old na sya.

I was surprised last night when my dad called me while he was booting up the computer.

Aba magcocomputer si papa!

Sabi ni dadi

“Oy, turuan mo nga ako, paano kung gusto ko magtype dito.”

My dad has been using the Manual typewritter at work. Imagine, ilang years na sya sa trabaho, doesn’t use the PC.

Siguro they are withdrawing the typewritters kaya no choice na sya, needs to study the PC

Sabi ko “Dadi, atleast in your last 5 years sa trabaho, makapagreport ka using the computer”

You know how masungit he is. He would say “Eh teka, ang bilis bilis mo naman eh”

So I would say the instructions slowly and minsan uulitin ko para lang mastress..he’d say “Eh OO nga”

Ay naku, nangingiti ako turuan sya. We started with the very basic na pag center ng texts, paglaki ng font.

My mom and I had to go to my brother’s house so we left him for about 30 minutes doing this…

AiR21...hmmp!

Glenn ordered an item from a fellow Niketalker(?) The package was shipped by his friend via Air21. ETA was Wed-Thursday. Friday..wala pa si package, so he called the call center. Sabi tatawagan nalang daw sya ng Air21 agent cause they were tracking where the item was kasi hindi daw na deliver dahil non-existent daw ang address namin. What the !@#$@$! Weve been using that address for years! Monday na wala parin. Glenn has to call again and again to check on its status. Glenn finally decided that he’ll just pick the item in a one of its drop off sites, para makuha na nya.

Hay, asar na asar ako..

I visited their website and sent them a love letter.

Papatalo ba naman ako kay Glenn sa picture-picture??

Its so funny, lahat ng napicture-an ni Glenn. Gusto ko ako rin, and I would want to get the same or better results.

Dang tamad ko naman mag aral. Ewan ko ba sa sarili ko, I always don’t want to read the manual. Kalikutin ko nalang ng kalikutin. Tapos tanong ko nalang ke Glenn. Naiinis na ako nung ginagamit ko sya, tinext ko pa si Glenn.. "Bakit hindi ko makita yung pinipicture-an ko sa monitor?! Ayoko ng nakatingin pa sa viewfinder"

Yun naman pala, that’s how it really works. You’ve got to use the viewfinder when taking photos. Urgh!

Take a look..not bad diba?

Okay, I must admit. Ito lang ang maayos na picture na nakuha. Its not easy using it, you’ve got to study to use it.

wHaT iVe BeeN UP tO

We spent the weekend at my inlaws.

It was a fine Sunday.

Saturday palang, naplano ko na that I’ll cook tinola. Its going to be a challenge kasi mami wouldn’t be there to help repair.

My oh my, Trisha Josen and Jon jon are in da haus. Hmm, makain kaya nila?

Si glenn ang inutusan ko bumili ng bigas, ng tinapay, all the stuff I need. =)

Ayun, cook tinola as I initially did.

Pero Glenn says not to put any Knorr Chicken cubes.

Seriously?!

Hindi pwede! Hindi ko alam kung maglalasang tinola ito.

Oh well, sige, testing lang.

Gosh, im such a bad cook.

Buti trisha was there, she repaired the walang-lasa na tinola.

My score for the tinola: FAILED daw sabi ni Glenn.

Though the others say its OK naman daw.

Oh well, Glenn’s judgment is what matters.

Oki, ill try and try until I get my pride back. Hahaha!

Every morning at breakfast, magmumuni-muni kami ni mami.

We have always been grateful for whatever we are experiencing in life now.

Sabi nya.. “Jie, ang mahal na pala sa Mapua ngayon. Kung wala kang educational plan, hindi ka makakatapos dun”

The next term after I graduated, nagconvert na sila into quarter term (how do you even call it? Sanay kasi ako sa 1^st sem, 2^nd sem lang. Mali naman yung 3^rd sem and 4^th sem diba, SEM nga eh)

I checked the website for the rates.. Dang! 30K per quarter. 120K per year for Tuition fee!

Whew! Eh daily allowance ko pa. Say Php130-150/day. Ang mahal magaral ngayon!

If I get hired with a basic salary 12K/month (halimbawa lang) after graduation.

Its not even breakeven with the Tuition fee.

Kasi 12K less 21% tax,less Pagibig, less SSS, less philhealth.

Tsk..tsk..

I didn’t even think about this stuff nung nagaaral pa ako.

I just know na I think I need how many sets of jeans kasi wala kaming uniform sa school!
